In 1992, the state of Arizona created
a means for families separated by adoption to make contact or reunite
with one another. Legislation was passed (ARS § 8-134) that allows
Confidential Intermediaries to access sealed adoption records for
the purpose of assisting in the search process. This option applies
to adoptions finalized in the state of Arizona only. Other states
may have a mechanism to assist in your search. Contact the state
in which your adoption was finalized for more information.
